Professional refurbishment of your Yamaha FZS 1000 Fazer carburettors. The service includes inspection, complete strip-down, gentle wet soda vapour blasting, ultrasonic cleaning and rebuilding with new gaskets, O-rings and float valves. Your carburettors are then leak-tested and bench-balanced before return.

What the service includes

Your carburettors are inspected for damage before refurbishment begins. Any damage and additional replacement-part costs will be discussed with you before the rebuild proceeds.

The carburettors are completely stripped into individual components, then vapour blasted with a gentle wet soda media slurry and washed clean. Ultrasonic cleaning tackles the internal areas not reached by vapour blasting. They are then rinsed with fresh water and dried with compressed air to ensure no water remains inside.

The carburettors are rebuilt using a high-quality complete rebuild kit. Gaskets, O-rings and replacement float valves are included in the service price. Damaged replacement parts are not included and will cost extra, with any additional costs discussed before rebuilding.

After rebuilding, the carburettors are bench-tested for leaks and balanced off the bike. Checking the balance again once fitted is recommended.

I only use the rebuild kits available separately in my catalogue. I do not use other supplied kits.

Turnaround and replacement parts

Typical completion time is 2–3 working days from receipt of your carburettors. If replacement parts need to be ordered, completion could take 5–7 working days from receipt.
